Hurricane Nicole
According to the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Nicole is expected to turn into a hurricane by Wednesday as it nears Florida’s east coast, this time for an unusual November strike. This news is especially concerning for residents of Florida who are still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Ian which hit the state just over a month ago.
Tropical Storm Nicole is expected to bring heavy rains and high winds to the state, which could cause more damage to homes and businesses still in the process of repairing Hurricane Ian.
The strengthening storm will unleash damaging storm surge, high winds, flooding rainfall, and severe weather — and the impacts will continue to hammer some areas for a length of time that is longer than what is typical for tropical systems.
