All Children’s Hospital designed its new facility to serve infants, toddlers, tweens, and teens at the most vulnerable times of their lives. The 9-story building accommodates 259 beds, features a 97-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and 12 operating suites. The building design is capable of withstanding a category 4 hurricane and produce internal power for two weeks. In total the hospital and surrounding care facilities for pediatric treatments, research, training, and education, boast 1 million square feet of space, RAMCON installed approximately 371,100 square feet of various roofing systems.
The main All Children’s Hospital building located at 501 6th Avenue South, St. Petersburg, Fla., opened its doors in December of 2009. The building roof system is a Built-Up roof system approximately 120,000 square feet. This unique project involved several roof installations including a helicopter-landing pad capable of supporting military size aircrafts.
