RAMCON installed the new Single-Ply TPO roof at Aurora Lighting located in the city of Clearwater and their new Photovoltaic Laminate Solar Panels. The flexible, thin, lightweight solar panels are installed in a “peel ‘n’ stick” method. The laminates are general resistant to hurricane winds and wind uplift. Each panel, 15.5 inches wide and 18 feet long, is embedded with tiny photovoltaic cells, which convert solar energy into power. The 180 solar sheets covering 4,800 square feet on this rooftop will provide 25,000 kilowatts of energy, which will supply approximately 1/3 of the yearly energy usage for the building.
