RAMCON Roofing completed several roof installations on Sweetbay Supermarkets throughout the state of Florida each roof averaging around 40,000 square feet. The store featured here is located in the Meres Crossing shopping center in Tarpon Springs, Florida. The store is the first eco-friendly and energy efficient supermarket to earn a LEED certification in the state of Florida. The roof features a Single-Ply TPO roof system that is approximately 51,000 square feet.
Among some of the LEED initiatives in the new Sweetbay store are new hyper-efficient air conditioners that bring in fresh outside air, over 81% of waste on the project was recycled, and high efficiency LED lighting was used throughout the store. The 38,000 square feet Sweetbay grocery store and additional retail shops were completed in less than 6 months.
