What was once a 250,000 square-foot warehouse, formerly owned by Gordon Foods, has now been expanded into a 500,000 square-foot facility. Today, this state-of-the-art building supports the manufacturing of consumer packaging, protective packaging, and industrial products.

For this major project, RAMCON was entrusted to install a new Johns Manville mechanically attached .060 TPO roofing system over polyiso insulation across the entire roof. This partnership highlights the trust placed in our team to deliver industry-leading solutions on projects of this scale.

Strategic Roof Loading and Installation

To maximize efficiency and allow other trades to begin their scopes quickly, RAMCON carefully staged and loaded the roof in multiple phases. As soon as the roof deck was installed, we began drying-in the project almost immediately, giving the interior and fit-out teams a head starts on their work. This level of coordination accelerated the entire project timeline and kept everything moving at an impressive pace.

Precision Fabrication and Installation

In-house craftsmanship was a key element of the Sonoco Expansion. RAMCON shop-fabricated and installed:

• Over 1,000 linear feet of coping cap
• Over 1,000 linear feet of gutters
• 25 custom downspouts

Each component was fabricated with precision in our shop and installed by our skilled crews with unmatched expertise, ensuring both performance and aesthetics.
