January Spotlight: Austin B. and the Service Department Turnaround

This month’s spotlight is dedicated to someone who has played a major role in one of the most important turnarounds RAMCON has seen in years: Austin Burdine.

Austin has been with RAMCON since May 2017, and over the years his role has grown into something far bigger than a single title. Today, as our Service Director, Austin oversees the structure and operational performance of our Service Department, and the impact of his leadership has been undeniable.

Under more challenging market conditions, including reduced weather-driven demand, the Service Department delivered one of the strongest years in recent memory. That kind of performance doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of disciplined execution, improved systems, clearer processes, and an unrelenting focus on doing right by our clients.

The Service Department’s transformation in 2025 was arguably the most significant internal turnaround at RAMCON. What was once a reactive operation has become a structured, process-driven engine that is scalable, measurable, and built for long-term success. Austin was instrumental in that evolution, helping reorganize workflows, tighten operational controls, and build a culture where systems and process drive consistency, quality, and profitability.

Many people at RAMCON also know Austin as our unofficial in-house tech support. He has been a major force behind modernizing internal systems and building tools and workflows that simply don’t exist off the shelf. His ability to bridge construction operations with technology has given RAMCON a unique advantage and continues to shape how we work smarter and faster every year.

Beyond the Service Department, Austin has played a critical role in RAMCON’s Orlando expansion. From early planning to getting our first service teams operationally ready, his fingerprints are all over the foundation we’re building in Central Florida. The systems proven in Tampa are now becoming the backbone of our continued growth.

Austin puts in as many hours as anyone in this company. He is relentless about improvement, detail-driven, and deeply invested in RAMCON’s future. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling when he can and spending downtime with his golden retriever, who has become something of a quiet mascot around here.

We’re proud of the work Austin has done, proud of the results his teams have achieved, and grateful for the leadership he continues to bring to RAMCON. The Service Department’s success in 2025 is a direct reflection of his commitment to building real systems, not shortcuts.
