Employee Spotlight: Gustavo M.

At RAMCON, every successful project depends on the people behind the scenes who bring skill, dedication, and attention to detail to their work each day. This month, we’re proud to recognize Gustavo M., our Sheet Metal Machine Operator/Specialist, whose expertise and commitment help keep our operations running smoothly.

Gustavo has been part of the RAMCON team for a combined total of five years. During that time, he has become an important member of our sheet metal department, helping produce the custom components and materials that support our projects across the company. His role requires precision, organization, and problem-solving, all qualities he brings to work every day.

A typical day for Gustavo begins before many people arrive. He opens the sheet metal shop, powers up equipment, and prepares the workspace for the day’s priorities. By organizing materials, reviewing upcoming needs, and ensuring machines are ready to operate, he helps set the tone for a productive day. While these tasks may happen behind the scenes, they play a critical role in keeping projects moving efficiently and ensuring crews have the materials they need.

Throughout his career at RAMCON, Gustavo has faced a variety of challenges, but one project stands out in particular. He was tasked with fabricating a product that had never been produced before. Without an existing process to follow, he had to rely on creativity, experience, and problem-solving skills to develop a solution. Through innovative methods and careful planning, he successfully overcame the challenge and delivered a quality result. Experiences like this demonstrate the adaptability and resourcefulness that are essential in the construction industry.

When asked what he enjoys most about working at RAMCON, Gustavo doesn’t hesitate to mention the atmosphere and the people. Outside of work, Gustavo values spending time with his wife and maintaining an active lifestyle.
